Appointments with a GP are available 7 days a week - 01753 517360
We offer a variety of appointments. Some can be booked in advance and some are kept for people who need to be seen on the same day. Where possible, we will help you to see a doctor of your choice. However, this may not be possible when your need is urgent.
Our advance appointments become available at 4pm on a Friday for the following week. We are actively exploring whether we can provide a more flexible approach and are looking to pilot some changes in the coming months.
All records, personal details and related matters are treated with complete confidentiality, which also extends to children and adolescents aged 12-16 years.
We offer routine appointments of 10 minutes duration.
Appointments with our practice nurses are available from Monday to Friday - 01753 517360
When booking an appointment with the practice nurse, it is helpful if you can say why, so we can accurately book you a 10 or 20 minute appointment. Nurses can be booked for immunisations, contraceptions, smears, asthma reviews, diabetes reviews, blood pressure reviews, heart condition reviews, travel clinics etc
In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.
Working Patients - can't make normal Surgery times?
Did you know that we have appointments available in the evening and at week-ends - including Sundays?
As part of the Prime Minister's Challenge Fund project (which has been running in Slough for nearly 2 years) the Practice is able to offer appointments to see a doctor up to 8pm in the evening and on Saturday and Sunday mornings. These appointments are held at Crosby House Surgery but you book them in the usual way by contacting Reception at the Surgery at 240 Wexham Road.
These appointments are ideal for those who cannot attend surgery during normal working hours perhaps because they are working elsewhere. These are BOOKED appointments and are NOT walk-in appointments so please make sure you book first. You will usually see one of the doctors from the surgery but may occasionally see another doctor from another surgery but they will still have your medical record and your medical history so that they can treat you appropriately. Please try not to use these appointments if you can attend the surgery during our usual opening times.
To Cancel An Appointment
Please let us know if you are unable to attend an appointment by calling 01753 517360. Wherever possible, we would appreciate at least 24 hours notice so that we can offer the slot to another patient - but we understand that this is not always possible.
Arriving on time
It is very important that patients arrive on time for their appointments. Patients who are more than ten minutes late may be asked to rebook their appointments. Our full policy can be found here.
We fully recognise that we sometimes run late but this is because some patients require more time with the GP or nurse, and this is unavoidable. We do our best to keep this to a minimum and your help (by arriving on time) is greatly appreciated.
