Repeat Prescriptions

Please note that we require two full working days in order to process repeat prescriptions and, if there are any queries with your prescription, it may take a little longer.

We are very happy to accept prescription requests up to two weeks early, to ensure that there is no delay to you.

If your long-term medication has been approved on a repeat prescription basis you can place orders in a number of ways:

  • In person - drop your repeat slip into reception having clearly marked the items required.
  • By post - send it to us with a stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post it back to you.
  • By fax - to 01753 552365

Please note we are unable to accept requests for medication over the telephone.

You can also register to manage your repeat prescriptions online by asking reception for a password (you will neded proof of identity). If you do so, after logging in, you will be able to see the list of medications that are on repeat. If you have any message, there is a comments box towards the bottom of the page. Please complete and click submit.

Pharmacy Services

The practice now subscribes to electronic prescribing.  This allows requests to be sent direct to a pharmacy of your choice - this is known as your nominated pharmacy. Subsequently, all of your prescriptions will automatically be sent to this nominated pharmacy. Please note that some prescription items, such as controlled drugs, cannot be sent electronically.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

48_hoursPlease allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
