The practice is currently seeking to recruit a full-time GP (or two part-time GPs) to work alongside Dr Sharma. In the meantime, we are fortunate to have a number of regular locums who provide care to our patients. Our regular locums are Dr Sindher (male), Dr Gamage (female), Dr Johal (female), Dr Naqvi (female) and Dr Shaik (female).
We currently have one full time nurse and one part time nurse.
Please ask at Reception for details of the Nurse clinics and specific appointments. Each Tuesday morning we hold an 8 week-old Baby Clinic for new born babies including their first immunisations. This clinic runs alongside the mother's post-natal clinic.
Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement, health checks for those aged 40-74, and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
Our Health Care Assistant position is currently vacant. (August 2016)
Dr Sharma will continue to manage the practice with support from Kelly Barrow whom she has appointed as Trainee Practice Manager.
The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
