In April 2018, members of the 240 Wexham Road Surgery Patient Participation
Group (PPG) spent a week in the surgery asking patients to complete a survey to
ascertain the patient’s experience of using the surgery.

Further to the results of our patient survey (2018) we have taken the following actions to further improve access of care for patients:
Promoting online access; having information available for patients on the surgery website, having posters promoting the service in the patient waiting areas, and having the reception staff proactively promoting the service when they interact with patients
Recruited reception staff who are multilingual to overcome language barriers patients may have with queries/booking appointments
Provide home visit services via Paramedic Service provision through SHAPE
Providing training and development programmes for reception staff to further enhance interpersonal/communication skills through SHAPE
Having a new service provision: recruitment of a Clinical Pharmacist.
